I was born and raised on the Northwestern coast of Brittany, France. I grew up loving the ocean salty scents. During the summer months, I could smell the ocean and seaweed aromas coming through our open windows.
Having spent years in Provence, I recall walking to school with my brothers through warm vineyards and lavender fields. The fragrance was intoxicating. I grew a real love for herbs and flowers.
I live now in Stamford, CT USA with my husband Stephen and our sweet Black Labrador Blue, who gets his beautiful shiny coat from coconut oil.
Inspired by Life Events
I never found skin and hair products that worked well for me. I have always been allergic to many synthetic products, breaking out and making my hair really dry and brittle.
I wanted formulas that would be beneficial to everyone: Young, old, female, male and everyone in between. And of course using only natural and safe ingredients, sustainable and never tested on animals.
I selected highly potent natural ingredients, provided by Mother Nature and supported by Science. I also wanted to use “by-products” ingredients such as the seeds, peels, barks of the trees, plants and fruits.
Did you know that many plants produce compounds to protect themselves against predators and free radicals such as UV rays, pollution, fungi and infections? Mother Nature knows best indeed…
Moreover, botanical wastes leave a large carbon footprint on the earth since they need to be transported, stored or destroyed. So why not up-cycle them? Especially since most of them are even more potent than the plant or fruit themselves.
We source sustainably-harvested and worker-friendly products from around the globe and right here in the USA. We purchase organic ingredients wherever possible and believe that clean beauty goes hand in hand with a healthy planet.
